ABOUT THE PEOPLES LEAGUE
We are grateful to have the NBA Stars represent USA Basketball to help continue the winning tradition. We have developed a 1 on 1 basketball tournament that will place a typical American, 9 to 5 workers, on the USA basketball team. Or have the USA Team scrimmage our 1 on 1 Peoples League stars. This will inspire and bond the athletes and the nation.
The 1 on 1 league currently plays during Halftime of the hottest NBA games in the country.
We are currently training every 16th of the month at local parks in every city that has an NBA Team.
You are invited to come out and play!
The training is scheduled from 7pm- 10pm. This gives young adults an alternative to stay off the streets during the evening hours, when the majority of crimes are committed. The players earn a salary and are given the opportunity to pursue careers in the entertainment industry via movies, videos, commercials and fashion shows. Players also volunteer as recruiters for our teen voter education program.
Bosh on U.S. national basketball team

LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Kobe Bryant and Toronto Raptors forward Chris Bosh are joining five others from the reigning Olympic basketball champions on the U.S. national team roster.
The players chosen Wednesday will be candidates for this summer\'s world championships and the 2012 Olympics in London.
Also returning from the team that ended the Americans\' eight-year gold medal drought in major competitions are Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony, Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer.
James, Wade and Bosh are all questionable to actually play this summer, though. All three can become free agents and have said their contract situations are their first priority.
The only players not returning from the team that won gold in Beijing are Jason Kidd, who previously said he was retiring from international competition with a perfect record, and Michael Redd and Tayshaun Prince, who have battled injuries this season.
\'At his mercy\'
Bosh is averaging career highs with 24.4 points with 11.4 rebounds this season, and he\'s averaged 28 points with 13.8 boards in his last six contests.
\"I\'ve never seen him play like this,\" Raptors teammate Jarrett Jack said. \"He\'s almost dominant. The other team is really at his mercy. He just puts it to them, night in and night out.\"
The remainder of the roster includes young stars like Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose. Also returning to the national team are Chauncey Billups and Amare Stoudemire, who played on the U.S. team in the 2007 Olympic qualifier.
The roster includes: Minnesota\'s Al Jefferson and Kevin Love; Rudy Gay and O.J. Mayo of Memphis; Philadelphia\'s Andre Iguodala; Boston\'s Kendrick Perkins; Indiana\'s Danny Granger; New York\'s David Lee; New Jersey centre Brook Lopez; Oklahoma City guard Russell Westbrook; Portland\'s LaMarcus Aldridge; Charlotte\'s Gerald Wallace; and Clippers guard Eric Gordon.
